Training workshop at partner site in Peru

July 24, 2013

The management office Eurice recently held the second TANDEM training workshop on financial and project management at UPCH (Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia) in Lima, the location of the Peruvian TANDEM partner site. The seminar took place on 1 and 2 July 2013 and covered a wide range of aspects, including team management and organization, information and communication management, as well as contract management and financial aspects of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

In the course of the workshop, the specific challenges of the UPCH partner site were addressed and the team discussed the setup of the study and the strategies to best perform the project tasks. This was complemented by sessions on financial management, which also involved the administrative personnel of UPCH. Together, the Eurice team and UPCH staff assessed the situation on the ground and discussed specific issues related to the implementation of the FP7 financial rules and regulations applicable in TANDEM.

The on-site workshop in Lima was considered very fruitful by both project members from Peru as well as the Eurice team. Getting together and discussing the most relevant issues in person proved to be very beneficial and will be a strong basis for a successful and close cooperation in the years ahead.
