47th Union World Conference on Lung Health, October 2016

TANDEM member Dr. Reinout van Crevel was asked to hold a seminar on this year’s Union World Conference. Dr. van Crevel will seize this opportunity to present the TANDEM project and its progress by giving a talk entitled “The TANDEM Program: Understanding Tuberculosis and Diabetes Through Field Studies and Basic Sciences.”

The 2016 Union World Conference on Lung Health will be held in Liverpool from 26 to 29 October. Its major theme will be “Confronting Resistance: Fundamentals to Innovations”, putting a special focus on antimicrobial resistances and its impact on TB, HIV and lung diseases care.

The conference will be an excellent forum for getting in touch with international researchers, health professionals, community advocates and policy-makers. It will attract over 3,000 delegates from 125 countries.
