WHO publishes 20th Global Tuberculosis Report

The World Health Organization has published the 20th edition of their Global Tuberculosis Report. In the field of tuberculosis (TB) research, the year 2015 is a cornerstone as it marks the deadline for global tuberculosis targets set in the context of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and signifies the transition to a new era of Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). The TB monitoring system has been in use for two decades and the outcomes of the analysis of the data collected for 2015 is documented in the report, putting a special focus on advances in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of TB.
