Training workshop at partner site in Indonesia

In the context of TANDEM capacity building measures, the project management office Eurice provides on-site coaching in financial and project management for the partner sites in Indonesia and Peru.

The first two day practical training workshop was implemented at UNPAD (Universitas Padjadjaran) in Bandung, the capital of West Java province in Indonesia, on 12 and 13 March 2013. The seminar covered a wide range of aspects, including team management and organization, information & communication management, as well as contract management and IP protection issues.

Supporting the exchange of best practice between all TANDEM partners, the workshops are designed not only to solve project specific challenges, but also to contribute to the sustainable development and extension of skills and capacities on-site that complement existing research capacities. The training also helps to optimally integrate the less experienced non‐EU participants immediately from the start and aid project administration and organization on the ground.

The on-site workshop in Bandung was considered very fruitful and both project members from Indonesia as well as the Eurice team were pleased about the opportunity to get to know each other and lay the groundwork for a close cooperation and successful implementation of project activities in the years ahead.
